e.k. hoffman (they/them or ze/hir pronouns) serves as the Executive Director of New Disabled South Rising and a Senior Policy Advisor at New Disabled South and currently lives in Columbia, South Carolina. 

With a focus on policy implications, e.k. brings experience in movement-building from queer and trans liberation, abolition, voting rights, public health, inclusive sexual education, disability rights, disability justice, and more. They are a leader in matters of accessibility, whether that be architectural, digital, or policy. With the belief that once we know better, we can collectively do better, e.k. prioritizes education as a key component in breaking down silos in movement work. Intersectionality is essential in their work and e.k. is committed to continuous growth in effectively centering the voices of those most impacted.

e.k.’s lived experience as a white, trans, multiply-disabled, Jewish Southerner informs their dedication to transformative change in our lifetimes.

With restorative justice at the core of their lifelong learning, e.k. dreams of collective liberation, where no body or mind is left behind.
